What can I use a 8' x 6' tarp for?
An 8' × 6' tarp is a versatile size for yardwork, camping, home projects and everyday protection. Use it to cover small equipment, firewood, gardening supplies, trunk or truck beds, or a single hay bale. It also works well as a ground cover or for containing dirt and debris during messy projects.
How many grommets does it have?
The 8' × 6' tarp has eight reinforced, rust-free grommets. There is one at each corner and one near the middle of each side, giving you multiple points for securing or hanging the tarp. (See diagram in the product images)
Is the tarp waterproof?
Yes. Renegade tarps are fully waterproof. The coated polypropylene-based fabric blocks rain, snow and moisture to help keep your items dry without the need for water-repellent sprays. Unlike canvas tarps, which can absorb water and soak through during prolonged exposure, Renegade’s coated material does not absorb moisture.
Why does my tarp develop dark spots when it gets wet?
If the tarp’s surface coating becomes worn, moisture may temporarily darken the material. This is typically cosmetic and should not affect the tarp’s waterproof performance. Renegade tarps are made from mildew-resistant materials and are not treated with moisture-wicking chemicals. Allow the tarp to dry completely before folding or returning it to its storage bag.
How should I clean it?
Rinse the tarp with mild soap and water to remove dirt, sap or pollen. Use a soft cloth or other gentle cleaning tool, and avoid abrasive brushes or harsh detergents that could damage the coating. Let the tarp dry completely before folding or storing it.
Can the 8' x 6' tarp be recycled?
The tarp is made from polypropylene-based materials and can be recycled through Renegade’s take-back program or facilities that accept the applicable polypropylene material. It should not be placed in curbside recycling unless your local program specifically confirms that it accepts the product.
What size tarp should I choose?
Choose a tarp that extends beyond the item or area you need to protect, leaving enough material to secure it properly.
The 8' × 6' tarp works well for small equipment, yardwork, camping, gardening and home projects. Choose a smaller tarp for compact jobs such as vehicle storage or muddy gear, and a larger size when covering bulk materials, larger equipment or wider work areas.
Measure the full length, width and height of the item before ordering, and allow extra coverage for overlapping, tying down or wrapping around the sides.

Honestly, this is a heck of a tarp. Feels very cool and has a stand out bright green color. Clearly well made with quality grommets, etc. I’ve been using it for household tasks and lawn cleanup and love it so far. The sustainability advantages are very cool as well. Great product great company
These are an impressive reimagining of the basic blue tarp. Really happy with the durability, especially compared to others. We’ve used these so far as a sun/rain cover, and to cover trailer loads of yard debris and trash which can be rough on tarps. The Renegades have held up surprisingly great through all of these uses, and the material is even easier to work with- smooth to handle and not crinkly and finicky. Very happy with our purchase and will be getting more!
Great quality and built to handle the weather. I’ve used it to cover our riding lawn mower. Just secured with a few bungee cords and it fits perfectly. After a full year, it’s still holding up! It seems very durable, unlike other tarps that have fell apart after a few storms.
I actually use these tarps under my chicken roosts to collect their droppings, and they do the job! These tarps hold up to me scrapping & washing chicken poop off every week. And I feel good that my chickens aren’t exposed to any bad chemicals! Thanks for making a fantastic product!!
