What can I use a 12' x 9' tarp for?
The 12' x 9' tarp provides 108 square feet of coverage for woodpiles, lawn equipment, small trailers, building materials, patio furniture and outdoor storage. It also works well for camping as a tent footprint, rain shelter, ground cover or sun shade.
How many grommets does it have?
The 12 ft x 9 ft tarp has 12 reinforced, rust-resistant grommets. Four grommets are positioned along each side, including the corner grommets, to provide multiple attachment points around the perimeter.
Is the tarp waterproof?
Yes. Renegade tarps are fully waterproof. The coated polypropylene-based fabric blocks rain, snow and moisture to help keep your items dry without the need for water-repellent sprays. Unlike canvas tarps, which can absorb water and soak through during prolonged exposure, Renegade’s coated material does not absorb moisture.
Why does my tarp develop dark spots when it gets wet?
If the tarp’s surface coating becomes worn, moisture may temporarily darken the material. This is typically cosmetic and should not affect the tarp’s waterproof performance. Renegade tarps are made from mildew-resistant materials and are not treated with moisture-wicking chemicals. Allow the tarp to dry completely before folding or returning it to its storage bag.
How should I clean it?
Rinse the tarp with mild soap and water to remove dirt, sap or pollen. Use a soft cloth or other gentle cleaning tool, and avoid abrasive brushes or harsh detergents that could damage the coating. Let the tarp dry completely before folding or storing it.
Can the 12' x 9' tarp be recycled?
The tarp is made from polypropylene-based materials and can be recycled through Renegade’s take-back program or facilities that accept the applicable polypropylene material. It should not be placed in curbside recycling unless your local program specifically confirms that it accepts the product.

Best tarp you can buy! I’ve got a stack of worn out shredded tarps in my garage that didn’t last more than a year. I’ve replaced all my tarps with Renegade due to the quality of the material and construction. You can see and feel the difference! My neighbors used to complain about my wood pile and the ugly worn out piece of plastic covering it. Now they’re asking where they can get their own Renegade tarp. I’d give 6 stars if they also came in black and yellow but green and brown does the job!
I haven’t tried it yet, but I am ordering one today. Will comment after I use it.
I have nothing but praise for this product. I buy my tarps exclusively from you since the first one. I’m impressed with the strength and durability but even more having the option to return used tarps for recycling.
